Since your sponsor is chosen as a living witness and mentor who represents the Christian community to you, we recommend spending time with them and getting to know them better.  Click here for a list of activities you can do with your sponsor!

The following is information on the paperwork that is required for Continuing Confirmation class of 2010-2011 including links to forms, examples, and lists.

Paperwork Requirements and Due Dates

• Baptismal Certificate (copy) - Due at Orientation on August 22nd
• Official Confirmation Registry Form - Use your Baptismal Certificate to fill this out.  You will need to have chosen a sponsor and your saint name. - Due by September 12, 2010
• Affidavit of Eligibility - To be completed by your sponsor.  This affidavit is used in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe; if your sponsor is located outside of this archdiocese, they may turn in the form their diocese uses.  If your sponsor is registered at Risen Savior, please have your sponsor fill out the top and write "Risen Savior" on the "parish" line on the bottom left.  Then, turn it in and the Youth Office will fill out the rest of the parish information. - Due by January 9, 2011
• Ministry Half-Sheet and Picture - This form will be printed on colored card-stock and will be available at Orientation on August 22nd. - Due by October 10, 2010
• Ministry Reflection - A one-page report on what the you did for a ministry, who was helped, and how it helped you grow in faith.  View an example here. - Due by your Exit Interview (in March or April of 2011)
• Saint Report - A one-page report about the saint whose name the you have chosen for Confirmation.  Must answer why you chose that specific saint's name.  View an example here. - Due by December 12, 2010
• Letter to the Archbishop - One-page (only - cannot be longer) letter to "Most Reverend Archbishop Sheehan."  Should answer what you like about being Catholic, why you want to be confirmed, and how you plan to stay involved in the church after Confirmation.  View an example here. - Due by November 14, 2010

Confirmation students at Risen Savior are required and encouraged to go out into the community and make a difference.  Each student works on a social justice project that appeals to them.  Click here to view our Social Justice Project Guidelines.

You will need to search for volunteer opportunities in your area.
